Supernatural Season 9 Play-by-Play and Review (Part 1)
I’ve decided to wade through the quagmire of season 9 of Supernatural. I am not sure if this is a mistake anymore, I can’t stop. Having finished season 8 and regaining a mixed sense of familiarity, enough of a detachment to try to ignore the bad things in the newer seasons and enough interest in the end of that season, I have decided to stumble on. This review will be much like my season 8 review; going step by step through the storyline and making comments and observations as I go. Spoilers for the season, as you can imagine and also for previous seasons. If you want to read my season 8 review you can do so here.
Okay, let’s take a look at what Sam, Dean and their rag-tag crew of survivors are up to this season. (Part 1 of 2)

BBC's The Musketeers Reviewed!
The BBC's The Musketeers has all the adventure and fun of the original Pirates of the Caribbean, except in series format.
King Louis XIII is guarded by his Musketeers including Athos, Porthos and Arimis. They, along with their fellow comrades often come up against assassination attempts on the King and the Queen, city schemes, thievery and murder. The evil Cardinal, whilst principle advisor to the King, is ever plotting and scheming for his own ends and what he believes to be the ultimate good for the Church. The Musketeers are joined by D'Artagnan, a famer's son who is initially seeking revenge for his father's murder. Although not officially a Musketeer, D'Artagnan quickly becomes close friends with Athos, Porthos and Arimis and joins them on their adventures.
Follow me under the cut for more on the first season of The Musketeers and in particular the Season 1 finale!

Kickstarter Heads Up - Dead Drop
Currently on Kickstarter is Dead Drop, a smart and fast, tiny little gem of a card game, designed by Jason Kotarski and published by Crash Games as part of their Pub Series.
In Dead Drop, 2-4 players use a variety of spy cards to narrow down and determine the card that is not in play. But unlike other games where you are trying to determine a missing card, Dead Drop requires that you have 2 cards in your hand that will mathematically add up to the amount of your accusation. This is the trickiest part as players start to narrow down their guesses and it's exactly what makes Dead Drop so wonderful.

Doctor Who 8.06 - The Caretaker
So, I nearly boycotted watching this week’s Doctor Who episode, The Caretaker, on account of the fact that the trailer for it looked so terrible I thought it would literally melt my face off with it’s badness. Events however conspired to let me give this season another go and I was very pleasantly surprised. It’s the best episode of the season and genuinely funny and well written for the most part!
Follow me under the cut for more on the episode.
