No...I'm not dead. I've just been on hiatus so to speak...but I'm back today to bring you an All-New Thursday Threesome! Today's topic?
Action Figures I meant to review but never got around to...the DC VILLAINS Edition!
Well...I'm just barely going to review them...mostly I plan simply to show them off!
Join me after the JUMP for pretty pics and gushing!
1. Deathstroke:
Deathstroke the Terminator aka Slade Wilson...Bad ass one-eyed mercenary with superhuman strength and reflexes and the skills and training to know how to use them! This guy can beat just about anyone one-on-one....even Batman!
Great figure too...really well-done, multiple textured sculpt, nice articulation and some cool accesories including a sci-fi looking pistol, a sword and a long knife. All of his acccesories can store on his uniform too, which I always look at as a big plus! My only complaint? He has a hard time holding his weapons, which sit rather loosely in his hands. Still, it's a very minor issue. All in all? Great figure!
2. Harley Quinn:
Dr. Harleen Qunizel aka Harley Quinn....once the Joker's psychiatrist and then his main squeeze! In the New 52 she's made a name for herself beyond Gotham City and the Clown Prince...becoming one of the most important figures in the Suicide Squad and a dangerous foe to hero and villain alike!
If you like the New 52 version of Harley (which I do) then you'll love this figure! Great representation of the character with a certain silly charm that I enjoy. Love the duel pistols in their holsters and of course the GIANT HAMMER! Batman hates that hammer....
3. The Joker:
The Joker....the Clown Prince of Crime....Batman's greatest (or at least most hilarious) nemesis! Laugh yourself to death!
This version of the Joker is the New 52 dead skin mask/Joe's Auto version. Yeah, I know a lot of people prefer the classic look (myself included) but it's such a great and horrendously creepy representation of the character that I love it almost despite myself...Very faithful and rather chilling...
Joker comes with lots of removable tools on his tool belt...a hammer and a saw-tooth knife and a pipe wrench and some needle-nose pliers...you know, all the ESSENTIALS. Can't pull the Boy Wonders teeth out while the Caped Crusader watches if you don't have your needle-nose pliers!
Three great Villains - Three great Action Figures! Check your local Comic Book Store and if you're lucky...you should still be able to find these guys in stores! Whatchya waiting for? Scared??
