So this handy but tiny/unsubstantial weapon rack looks to be pure filler, but don’t be fooled, it’s a necessary evil. We’ve had General Veers, Snow Selleck and a Battle Droid who are all missing weapons, and if the main image on the front of the box hasn’t lied to us, we should be getting a certain Sith Apprentice soon. One who might quite enjoy that double-bladed lightsaber. So Lego is really killing (at least) three birds with one stone here, providing two guns that can be shared among a number of troops, while also kitting out our favourite bisected villain. Hey, it might not be exciting but it sure is handy!
In the ongoing competition between this calendar and the Playmobil Game of Thrones calendar awarding the point today is a tough one. Neither gift is especially exciting. I think I’m ultimately going to have to go with guns and lightsabers so that means... holy shit... we’re tied?

ReplyDeleteI gave the smaller gun to my battle droid, since last year's droid had one (I'm doing both calendars at once).
ReplyDeleteIn what universe would you want to store a double lightsaber while it was on?
ReplyDeleteWhat's worse is the instruction diagram which shows the clip holding the light saber not by the hilt but by the ignited blade!
